2012 – 2013 SEASON IS UNDERWAY!
We had a great start to our season last week – I got to catch quite a few games Friday night and Saturday. It was great to see the first basket of the NPBA season scored on Friday night! Lots of competitive well coached and refereed games – and the kids were having fun.
Also, our inaugural 3 v 3 leagues at the Gremlin Boys 3 and Gremlin Girls 3/4 started. I was able to see some of the first Gremlin Boys 3 games and from that and other reports all went very well. The players got to play a lot, touch the ball and make basketball moves, and able to learn the game. These divisions will be building blocks for future upper division NPBA players.
I will be around most weekends to watch the festivities – if you see me, please feel free to say hello or ask any questions.

PICTURE DAY
Mark your calendars - picture day is scheduled for January 26th, make ups on February 9th. Both dates will be held outside at Borchard and at Dos Vientos in case of inclement weather. Times and other details for your team are still to be determined. We will get you that information as soon as it becomes available.
COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP
NPBA is providing two (one female and one male) $250 college scholarships to graduating seniors from Newbury Park High School that participated in NPBA. Deadline for submission is March 1, 2013. For further information, contact NPBA President Tom Hare at thare@crpd.org.
